Kirsten Simone vangsness was born on July 7, 1972, is an American actress. Her character in the role of Penelope Garcia, an FBI technical analyst, is her most popular. She also played the exact character in the spinoff series Criminal Minds: Suspect Behaviors, Criminal Mindn Beyond Borders and Criminal Minds: Evolution 2022 the main actors.



 



 Early life



 Vangsness was born in Pasadena, California, daughter of Errol Leroy Vangsness from Norwegian descent, and wife Barbara Mary (nee Marconi) who is of Italian descent. She was born in Porterville, California and moved to Cerritos later. She graduated from Cerritos High School in June 1990, and was a student at Cypress College in Cypress, California.She was later a graduate of California State University, Fullerton in 1996.
